I am so sorry it was not a success for you @gordwait @SusyTucker / it was an agonizing decision. I personally love the restaurants and the work of the @WhiteRock_BIA it was-a wait and see approach. We could have implemented it better & for that I have regrets . All the best !
@gordwait @HelenFathers Thanks for the reply Helen IMO it wasn’t a trial period because due to various factors many businesses weren’t able to implement patios in time for any real information to be established. Drop in business for some was due to novelty factor and excitement of patios.
Please try not to be bitter/ it ran for over two months. Were it not for the safety issues as outlined by RCMP & Fire Chief the idea was great! We will wait to see survey results from the entire community. It was a difficult decision @gordwait
The lineup of people waiting at Moby Dicks Fish and Chips is huge. But apparently we have to shut down the #whiterockbc patios because they are hurting for business. 😠
Unfortunately Suzy , it was a trial period , and it has ended. It was a good idea if not for the safety issues as outlined by the Fire Chief & RCMP. It ran for over 2 months giving business’s an opportunity during COVID. Please try to see both sides,it was a difficult decision.
