Just look at this graph. By a staggering margin, we have the worst figures for homelessness in the developed world. What an appalling indictment of the last 14 years of government this is.
THE question our hapless UK media never asks:
If we are paying the highest taxes for 70 years, how come our public services, NHS, schools, water infrastructure, schools, prisons... are all collapsing?
Everything they are doing to the NHS, they did to British Rail:
* Underfunded it
* Exhausted the service
* Got the public angry
* Then said privatisation is the solution
Please RT if you can see what is going on
Having the head of the state oil company in charge of organising the biggest climate talks of the year is a massive conflict of interest @COP29_AZ. Will you respond to the letter with almost 30k signatures from civil society? #COP29

UK waste recycling improved from 2000-2010. But in last 12yrs the England recycling rate remains at a poor 41%. No improvement in a decade! North East has worsened to 31%. London 32% - no progress in a decade. MVDC is approx 55% (in the top class) - but still lots to do.
Gulp. Nervous & excited. I’ll never get used to seeing my face declaiming on screen but the cinematography and wildlife footage by Passion Pictures is astonishing. And great perfs from my heroes @gow_derek @FransVera, Ted Green &, of course, @CharlieBurrell_
🚨BREAKING: More than 4 MILLION HOURS of raw sewage was DUMPED into English rivers in 2023 - a 129% INCREASE on the year before.
Why is the government allowing water companies to GET AWAY with this?
🚨 BREAKING: Oil giant @IthacaEnergy made £1 billion in cash last year, whilst paying out £316 million in shareholder payments.
£281 million of those payments will flow to Ithaca's parent company Delek Group, which operates in Occupied Palestinian Territory.
@HafsaBobat The table is inaccurate in these respects. Seismic waves spread out in all directions from the focus and the extent of the damage on the surface, will be determined by a range of factors. These include depth (less decay if shallow), amount of displacement, rock/soil types etc.
@ProfCaryCooper Very well explained Patrick, thank you. The damage to communities and the environment is continuing to be devastating. (Sewing Bee fan😀)
@GeorgeMonbiot Yes and yes absolutely. Local groups are trying to get the message across. Why is GDP still considered the most important measure os success?
Shocking, shameful and utterly disgusting. How @NFUtweets lobbied the government for a loophole allowing livestock farmers to keep killing our rivers. And how the government gave it just what it asked for. https://t.co/ebYB4zbD58

Government would need to accept planning application for #Gatwick first.
Instead government should listen to their Climate Advisor @theCCCuk who say before any new runways are considered the UK should have a capacity plan to limit aviation's climate impact.
