All the fun of the fair today. What a fabulous event! Thank you to everyone who came by today. There will be lots more gollogan fun in Dublin tomorrow @RichBarracks 11-5.
Find the first two books in the series @richmondbarracks Christmas fair this weekend! The gollogans live in the woods of S Dublin and deal daily with the challenges of a wild existence and how the giants treat their home. Books to inspire a love of nature and a love of reading!
@sinannf The Gollogans of Carrickgollogan and The Gollogans in Winter - first two books in a 4-part children’s chapter book series for 7-9 year-olds. Adventure books to help children connect with nature, inspired by walks in Carrickgollogan and Knocksink.
@sarahwebbishere I’m sure it’s not what you’re looking for but “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail” always sticks in my head because of the rhetorical device!
@ShonaShirleyMac For day for of #IrishBookWeek I pick Shona Shirley MacDonald as my favourite illustrator. “Sunptuous” and “gorgeous” are the words that come to mind when I see them!
@NancyTay1976@atarbuck At first I thought, yes, they must be separated, but imagine your situation suddenly changes and they have to scramble to get you out of the “pregnant mother” ward to the “misfortune” ward. Imagine how it would feel to physically move from one space to another.
A big thank you to everyone who came along to the Gollogans book launch (and drank nettle tea!) and to all the children who joined in so enthusiastically with story-time. Until next time!
100%!! Irish publishers, we need more graphic novels, they're the first books to be picked up in school libraries. We have some super talented graphic novel artists in Ireland too!
This week's TOP 10 IRISH CHILDREN'S BOOKS is from @AntoniasBooks

I shouldn’t have asked the gollogans what drinks they wanted for the book launch next week! But don’t worry, there will be other drinks, story-time, activities and free cake too! It’s on Sat 30th September from 3-4.30 in the Gathering Grounds, Kilternan, D18ET99. All welcome!
