OK, I've calmed down today so I'm thinking more rationally.
I am going to use my old phone (this one) for Twitter only (this account)
It's no big deal is it? It's only a bloody social media account but I have made so many friends on here and don't want to lose them.

Can any of you oldies (my age +65 ) remember the freak weather we had in July 1968? Massive dust storms from the Sahara that blotted out the sun, 'green' yes, green and inky blue skies, that blotted out the sun, whirlwinds that flatterned caravans near the sea front?

There were odd thunderstorms reported from around Britain, with weird forked lightning. We were holidaying in a static caravan then but further inland and sheltered luckily.
Today's weather reminds me of that.

What a storm! Biblical doesn't do it justice! Thunder and lightning⚡ and I'm pretty certain there was a mini tornado 🌪mixed up in that one! The rain was coming down as if a reservoirs dam had burst! 😳
Garden just about survived and now the sun is out. 🌞

I'm an absolute technophobe, when it comes to new phones and I wrote all the passwords down as well!
I still have this old phone so I'll just keep it for Twitter it seems to still work even though the sim/ memory cards have been removed!

@Knitknurse Yes, similar situation. On FB in my area there were/are 4 HWs and I used to have people I didn't know asking to 'friend' me. Or commenting thinking I was someone else. I'm not double barrelled. I think I'll keep this phone just for Twitter until I can sort it out on the new one.
