As part of the PSHE programme, Year 7 had a visit from The Riot Act on Friday with a performance and workshop about Road Safety. It covered the importance of not having phones as a distraction by the road and the sad realities of potential accidents that could come from it.

Year 11 students celebrated the end of their exams in style this week with an evening of glamour and glitz at Hylands House in Chelmsford, where they celebrated this milestone moment in their education journey.
Year 10 Computer Scientists visited the Computing Museum in Cambridge yesterday. The museum took them on a journey on how devices, programming languages and games develop over the years. They also attended two physical computing workshops.
Hats off to our talented students across the Creative Arts at HRS, who entertained a packed hall of audience on Friday at 'A Night at the Movies and Musicals'. Special thanks to the newly formed HRS PTSA for their support throughout the evening.
Huge congratulations to our boys' football squads for a fantastic season in the NW Braintree District league this year, with Years 7, 9 & 10 being crowned the overall champions and Years 8 & 11 making it through to the finals. We are immensely proud of them all!
HRS musicians attended a 2-day workshop with the London Mozart Players this week. The finale to the workshop was a performance of their composition to an audience of parents, staff and primary school students. Thank you to Thaxted Music Festival who coordinated this opportunity.

Forty-six Year 9 students completed their Duke of Edinburgh's Award Bronze expedition last weekend. They are to be congratulated on their determination, effort, planning and conduct. They have all learnt new skills and made excellent progress. Well done to all!
We were delighted to welcome Jody Huizar, Schools Liaison rep for the Dunmow Flitch Trials, into our assemblies to talk about the history of the Trials, which dates back over 900 years. We can't wait to see some of our students participating in this historic event on 13th July!
