A special book unboxing featuring the newest member of our household. 🐕🦺🐕🦺🐕🦺
One thing I've learned over my years in publishing: you can't please everyone. 😂🙈

I’ll be signing copies of my new novel If I Had My Time Again at The Book Corner in the wonderful @ThePieceHall#Halifax this Sunday 17th May from 2-3pm. Free event, no need to book. Would be lovely to see you there! #BookTwitter#booktwt@BoldwoodBooks
Me, after editing a super emotional chapter in the latest Kitt Hartley book.
How healthy is it to cry at your own novel for thirty minutes straight?
Asking for... well, me. Actually.

@DebraGr24316756 That means so much to me Debra. Thank you for your encouragement. It's lovely to know that my book has reached readers in the USA. I don't think there are many who know me across the "pond" - FYI, I hate that phrase. In no way is the Atlantic Ocean a "pond" !
@Helenography Helen, I really, really enjoy your Kitt Hartley Yorkshire Series! Great job! This book had a lot of twists & turns! Fun and so very enjoyable to listen to! Thank you!
Nestled amongst the Yorkshire Dales, the Merry Monarch is preparing to host its annual festive games night for its rabble of regulars... If you like a festive mystery borrow ‘The Christmas Eve Murders’ by Noelle Albright from your local library: https://t.co/UZA2GporDd
@GC_Rail your 10.17 from Sunderland to kings x has been cancelled. As I'm going to York I now have to take the metro and go down from Newcastle to be on time for my meeting. Will I have to buy a new ticket at Newcastle?
@GC_Rail A day return to York for Grand Central trains only. It was purchased 25 minutes before departure. 15 minutes later the announcement comes that the train was cancelled. I bought it at the station from a human so would have expected them to know of a cancellation like that.
Happy Publication Day to @Helenography’s A BODY AT THE CHRISTMAS BOOK FAIR ❄️

Today would have been my dad’s 74th birthday.
This season carries gravity. Father’s Day, his birthday, and the anniversary of his passing all fall within 60 days.
For me, grief has no straight path. It revisits, reshapes, and rises when I least expect it.
But alongside it lives a legacy built on generosity and kindness.
He made people feel seen. Gave permission to feel deeply and to laugh through pain. That mission continues.
To those carrying loss right now: you’re not alone.
Happy birthday, Dad. Love you forever.
#Jaws turns 50 this month. It would have been rude not to write SOMETHING about it given its resonance. But this is not yet another article on its impact on film history. This is a memoir about its impact on me.
