All I can do is be me. A single bi woman with varied experiences, interests, and tastes. We don't have to agree, just be respectful. My views are mine. Naughty.
We're facing the greatest war of our lifetime. A stealth enemy that doesn't discriminate, crosses all borders, has the best strategy, an invisibility cloak, and turns every enemy against each other.
For now, the only weapon we have is love and compassion for each other. ❤❤
@caseywillits@prayerfeathers@margie_strike Yes, many people are shielded from the FULL cost of insurance premiums, but most still pay a substantial portion of their income toward premiums in middle income brackets.
Since policies were underwritten BEFORE Covid was a known issue, insurers MUST cover it like any illness
@caseywillits@prayerfeathers@margie_strike That's a false claim. There is cost sharing for premiums in ALL of those "insurance" premiums.
Except the lowest income levels eligible for Medicaid.
@caseywillits@prayerfeathers@margie_strike The point is SOME PEOPLE DGAF about public health, they ONLY CARE about how it affects them personally all while believing they're invincible.
@caseywillits@prayerfeathers@margie_strike What if we change the focus of the argument here? What if we make this an economic issue? People who aren't getting vaccinated are contributing to the likely increases in health insurance premiums and healthcare costs overall in the next 2-3 years?
@caseywillits@prayerfeathers@margie_strike For some people the only thing they care about is their wallet. Let's explain how Covid will effect their cashflow and see how quickly their "No for no's sake" or "Obstinant defiance" changes.
Just a thought.

@caseywillits@prayerfeathers@margie_strike Does ANYONE think these insurance companies and healthcare institutions aren't going to recover the Covid related expenses? For those who are uninsured those costs will likely result in reduced services, higher costs, and potentially facility closures in rural healthcare settings
I'm not sure how to respond to all of you who are putting words into my mouth with your responses.
I said some ppl are hypocrites for basing their anti vax stance on a Ltd gov ideology while supporting gov intervention/prohibition on abortion. 🤔
@prayerfeathers@margie_strike 1. I'm fully vaccinated. 2. I support a vaccine mandate. 3. Not everyone who doesn't support a vaccine mandate is antivax. They just believe the government shouldn't have a decision in people's healthcare. (Yes, many are hypocrites because they also believe the government should
@my_names_Trixie@prayerfeathers@margie_strike This is a critical point. People can only understand from their level of perception, and many ignore the fact that EVERY information source is biased. People refuse to expand their perception by listening, learning, and considering other view points.
The key is critical (cont)
