BTAS rly has the best one-off and side-characters in the franchise. This chick is just a crime boss's secretary, but when Robin invited her to come fight him in the water, she actually dove in and started trying to drown his ass π
One should be able to sit with negative emotions instead of mindlessly fleeing them.
It's interesting to me how many book bans seem to stem from an inability to do that.
"This makes me feel guilty--ban it, protect us from this feeling of guilt!" same with disgust, sorrow, etc
I finished Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye". This book has no graphic/explicit sex scenes. It *has* sex scenes but they're not explicit or meant to be arousing...wouldn't surprise me if the main reason it gets banned is it makes conservative white ppl feel guilty over racism π
I understand the book probably made those ppl feel bad. But you prob *should* feel bad, reading about little kids growing up to hate themselves bc society told them from birth "black = ugly".
@batmantitssss Ok. It's just a politeness/consideration but if thats ur preference go for it.
And nah, i dont feel tired but u go ahead and take a nap if u need one π
@batmantitssss U first pal π
P.S u should probably untag ur friends when u say sh*it like this cuz ur going to pop up in their notifs and until they check the context, they might think ur being nasty to them π€·ββοΈ
@EscDevil Morality aside, at that point, the effect is just too diluted/convoluted to carry the intent they were going for. It *did* come across as childish bc typically only kids have to use euphemisms or engage in games to say "bad words" like "the S word" or "witch but with a b!"
@EscDevil My own tweets r gorgeous and impeccable, thanks for noticing π
It's not the *spelling* that was the problem, it's that the attempt to avoid using the actual acronym ended up with something so wordy and weird that it looked like something from a kids' singing/rhyming game.
@roseseyepatch If u bother to read any of conversations I had with OP, you'll see my issue is with suibaiting as a behavior in general, not that I think any particular person is above criticism.
Now u stfu first, ~omg~ π
@taliaIghuls @moomiira Someone was a better person than me once, when I thought saying such things was OK and 'funny', and they gave me a wake-up call about it to think and examine my own behavior.
But I had to be the one to make the decision, same as you. Good luck in ur journeys βοΈ
@taliaIghuls @moomiira OK, I understand. I do think one day you'll realize that particular behavior is a line you no longer want to cross; not bc anyone made you stop but bc you'll come to that conclusion on your own.
It has to be that way, no one can make you think or behave a certain way.
