@venturepictures DAY -- A new recruit is in the Atlantis Gate Room in San Francisco Bay, as it is hit with a Goa'uld mothership barrage. The tower breaks, the active gate falls through the window, and the recruit falls through the gate to the alpha site, right before it hits the deck.
It has been tradition that on every project I work on, I hide a subtle #Stargate reference somewhere. I was new to the film industry in 2009, when Stargate Atlantis ended. It is a big part of why I did. I promised myself, if it ever came back, I'd work on it. #SaveStargate.

Allegra made this cool Hethin village and then did a walkthrough video! Starting to feel more like a game as these systems are clicking together.
@JiltedValkyrie It was one of the best decisions of all time, using 16:9 instead of 4:3. Maybe they just knew, one day it would switch? But it was way more effort that paid off in the long run!
@BaronDestructo More likely to check if it's more than an hour long. Also -- you guys aren't hiring crew are you? VFX or Camera Department, I'm there, anywhere in world.
There is nothing more fun than clicking on a preset story and jumping into a new game with these generated characters...
...except writing your own backstory and manually creating characters to go with it.
@BaronDestructo Can we get a Little Bear x Stargate Easter Egg? :p The Furlings are Little Bear! (Just cast Kristin Fairlie as the Furling!)
My 5 year old and I were watching her favorite cartoon when I saw a familiar credit in the list and got a big smile.
@aminerehioui Same! Found yours randomly this AM in the feed and was very please to see a C&C like editor with terrain layers. Makes it feel less lonely haha
This is simultaneously the best and worst time to be a creative person, in 2025. (As opposed to all the other times where that was likewise true.) There are more tools than ever before freely available -- but less opportunity to use them outside survival.

@aminerehioui We're developing in Unity! But we have added so many utilities and extensions that Unity itself is doing very little work. Even our level builder barely uses Unity for rendering. Otherwise it feels a lot like StarEdit slammed into Bethesda's Creation Kit.
