The key difference with Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi is that in Paper Mario, different characters aren’t entirely represented by one button. It makes complete sense to use the A button to select Mario’s action, but for Luigi, who uses B in all his actions, it’s not as natural.

Just because I got used to it eventually, and I don’t think it ruins the game or anything, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have preferred to select Luigi’s actions with the B button.

In the previous games, each character used their respective face button to choose their command, with the L button being used to back out of command selection.

Using B to select Luigis attacks always felt better to me; since you use the B-button to execute his action commands.

Same goes for other characters in the series, such as the babies or Bowser using X and Y to navigate command selection. It helps you ease into what buttons to use for the action command.

It’s nothing that ruins brothership by any means, I got used to it quickly enough, it’s just a minor nitpick really.

Unique Toad Characters would be ideal. I just have a soft spot for the classic 5-color Toad group, as long as they're not the main NPC type of the game they're in.
