“Abe… shut it…” red mumbled, taking the moment that the killer was looking in his direction, to jump onto her back and pull on her arms

“Just stay down you witch!” He shouted, trying to get her away from Abe

He gasped as he was thrown back. Giving a curse in response as he fell in the ditch below.

"DAMN IT RED-"

That was rather loud of abe. And it made the artist perk in his direction, not Reds.

His tail twitched as the artist got closer.

Knowing Abe wouldn’t leave him be, red sighed, his hand reaching to grab the others shoulder, trying to throw him backwards as gently as he could, into a nearby ditch before charging at the artist “sorry Abe!”

"Me? Die? Never-"

He said. Ya know like a liar. Now carefully standing to a sneaking position. Eyes drifting towards red

"Lead the way-"

He knew how much he hated having a gun but now he was happy he carried it.

“Not arguing Abe, but Im not gonna let ya die.”

He hissed. Now moving to pull out the pistol, he reluctantly carried with him

Pushing himself up a little he grumbled “I’ll distract her, you find cover or a weapon. Stay safe. She got a score to settle with me.”

He peeked out for a moment. Grimacing at the sight. He wasn't much of a fan of birds...bad memories.

"Okay...what should we do.."

The artist was back up and looked unscathed, hellboy quietly cursed, pointing a finger at her from their hiding spot.

"Why are we hiding? And I will always worry."

He hissed. It was part of him afterall

“I’ll be fine, thanks for carin” he was going to say something else but he pushed them both to the ground as a hoard of crows came their way.

Abe frowned as he now dabbed up the blood quietly. Seeming worried he now pulls away after patching him up.

"You need to be more careful Red."

He coughed up some more blood mixed with ink and spit it on the floor away from Abe.

“No me neither, we both know who would’ve won” he tried to make light do the situation as he attempted to sit still

He smiled as best as he could. Or at least what was the equivalent for abe since he physically couldn't smile.

"Good. I didnt want to fight you on it"

He followed him and soon pulled out his medkit from his bag. Carefully he began to disinfect the area

Hellboy hung his head, knowing that he’s put them both in danger if he continued to protest, so he walked over to a broken down car and sat on the hood. The car groaning under his weight. “Go ahead…”

"No. We are doing this. And we can take as much time as we need."

He wasn't budging. He was going to make sure Red was patched up before they continued

“Come on Abe” he wasn’t moving past him though, he would have done with manning but him or Liz? No.

He mumbled, now moving in front of Red, he made him stop. Arms crossing over his chest

"And we aren't going father till I patch you up."

He noticed him looking at his cuts and groaned “some witch lady tried to cut my tongue out. Got her first- not that she has a tongue…” he hoped she stayed down.

His eyes went to a bloody hook that hung not too far from them. “What is this crap…”

"You're also a bad liar-"

He said with a quiet tone, walking after him as his respirator bubbles. He was at least glad he remembered his equipment.

"I promise Red. We will be...fine?"

He just noticed the wounds. He's a little nervous now

Turning to face him again, he opened his arms and forced himself to laugh “I am calm. Calm as a cucumber, couldn’t be calmer” his tail just swayed more.

He huffed for a moment. Doing as told though as he carefully stepped behind him. Eyeing his tail

He knew that anxious sway

He dusts himself off for a time before looking towards Red.

"I can take care of myself thank you-"

He said with a huff. He still had a bit of pride

Slowly letting the other down onto his feet, red sighed “well looks like we’re both stuck.” Now he had someone to look out for great.

He was a bit shaken as he was caught. Staring at him with a nervous laugh.

"In my defense. I was walking through a cave and fell through what I thought was solid floor."
