Day 3 of the #Michiganliteracy Intensive Coaching Institute is feedback FILLED as we co-plan, teach students, conference, reflect and co-plan again. It’s all rigorous, but Amanda and Leslie have set us up for success! @amorris425@leslieasmith3#Lenaweeliteracy
“There’s not good kids and bad kids. There’s just good kids having bad days and for some of them their bad days have lasted for years.” @pernilleripp#inspired#MRA2019
School should not be about producing robots that regurgitate information in order to pass a test, but about empowering students to think critically and become solutions to a the problems of this generation. Free teachers to teach.
Thinking about all who’ve attended a #MichiganLiteracy K-3 Essentials Instit. in just 2 yrs. We’re challenged to reconsider our practices... to seek research first. This is hard, but thousands of educators are making profound changes. When we know better, we do better. Kids win.
As teachers we should be looking at all of our students as future poets, play-writes, astrophysicists, Supreme Court justices, directors, and politicians. #standardlevelofcare@nellkduke
"With this new approach we were able to communicate that math is a way of thinking. It’s not just something that happens during period 2, by reading chapter 2. Suddenly math became something our students could actually enjoy." #RethinkSchool https://t.co/bZkJxhjvYP
