Looking to gain hands-on experience in the world of college athletics, sports media, media relations, & creative content? We're offering an unpaid student internship for academic credits alongside the Kinesiology department!

In this role, you'll work weekly office hours around your schedule completing tasks that tell the stories of Southwestern Athletics!

Roles include:
🏅 Creating creative content
📱 Managing social media accounts
🎨 Designing graphics
✍️ Writing stories
🎤 Conducting interviews & creating scripts
📸 Organizing photos
📽️ Game Day production
…and much more!

This internship is designed to help you build the skills and portfolio needed for careers in sports communications, creative content, media relations, and beyond—all while earning academic credit.

Texas is one of six states that funds public eduation based on attendance rather than enrollment. We are asking our legislators this session to shift from attendance-based funding to enrollment-based funding. Based on current enrollment, this would net an additional $5.5M in revenue for GISD.
