May is a big month for @HelloRobo_co Robo. We're kicking off our summer travels with Tokyo — design team offsite in Japan, and we'll be attending @HumanoidsSummit while we're there.
If you're going to be around, ping me. Let's find some fatty tuna.
Our senior Zurich based designer Olga Abramova made it out to @foxglove#ActuateFieldSession last week. I truly think #Actuate is the best event for robotics these day. Can't wait to go in August.
Proud moment for @HelloRobo_co Robo and me personally. Our lead designer @DuhnovVladislav took the stage at @BrainStation last week to talk about what it actually takes to design UX for autonomous machines.
Robo Radio 10: Jason Kline, head of design at @hmnd.ai shares his thoughts on why safety is the biggest thing to unlock for humanoid robotics design.

Robo Radio 10 is live. This month @HelloRobo_co hosted Jason Kline, Head of Design at @TheHumanoidAI . We talked about where the design challenges actually are, what's overhyped, and what's quietly getting closer to real deployment.

We started doing inside project called Blueprint, we try to imagine how would certain interface looked at their best.
Here is the first one, fleet management system for warehouse robots.
Amazon we coming for you!

Awesome robotics company alert! 🚨
Not every company in the robotics ecosystem builds robots or robot brains.
Recently I met @ShakirWorks and @HelloRobo_co: a design agency that makes interfaces for robotics teams!
They specialize in robotics and automation, turning complex tech into simple, usable interfaces.
The need is real. Robotics companies build incredible hardware and autonomy, then struggle with the interface layer.
Fleet management for 100 robots is a completely different UX problem than managing 10. Teleoperation consoles need to be intuitive under pressure. Operating software needs to surface the right information at the right time.
What a niche to be building in. They focus on UX/UI for robotics products including fleet management systems, robot management software, operating interfaces, and teleoperation consoles.
Clients include Bedrock Robotics, Cosmic Robotics, Weekly Robotics, Open Robotics, and product teams from Surfair and Palantir Technologies.
This is the kind of specialized service that only makes sense once an industry reaches scale.
You wouldn't need a robotics-specific design agency five years ago. Now there's enough demand to support dedicated expertise in robot fleet UX, teleoperation interfaces, and management consoles.
Good design compounds.
P.S. When we talk about design. They have the coolest merch in robotics… 😮💨
