Rochester firefighter Jerrod Jones explains why he is suing the city and RFD after he was ordered to an allegedly racist and politically charged party while on duty. @rgorbman@WXXINews @roccitynews
A @RochesterNYPD investigator parked his car in the ambulance bay at Strong, an EMT from @MonroeAmbNY hit the door while unloading a patient.
The investigator insisted on ID, the EMT insisted on bringing the patient inside. This is exclusive video of what happened next ⬇️
The @NLRB just tallied votes on unionization at the new Starbucks store on Monroe Ave. in the Whole Foods Plaza; the vote was in favor of unionizing, 10-3. It becomes the 2nd #ROC area Starbucks to vote to unionize; The Mt. Hope Store voted 13-11 to unionize earlier today.
During his campaign, Mayor Malik Evans promised to improve housing for Rochester residents.
Last night, he announced the members of a 21-person task force that will address negligent landlords and unstable living conditions.

Too many leaders in both parties spent today celebrating the sanitized #MLK that gives them comfort
Tomorrow they'll go back to fighting against all he fought for as they do for most of the other 364 days of the year

2/ Here is an excerpt of the grand jury testimony of Dr. Gary Vilke, who opined that Prude died of cardiac arrest: “(M)y opinion is that none of the officers, their impact, individually or collectively, would have caused or contributed to that cardiac arrest."
1/ The state's medical expert in the case of Daniel Prude's death told a grand jury that not only did officers not kill Prude, but that his health would have been worsened had they NOT restrained him. Worse than dying? https://t.co/p0I9pSNlHh
Gary Vilke, the expert that AG James relied on, has now said that police did not cause Daniel Prude's death, nor did police cause George Floyd's death.
The AG ought to explain, at length and with no time restrictions, her thought process on why she chose Vilke.

Reading grand jury testimony, it seems clear that despite what AG James said publicly, she did not want RPD officers charged for Daniel Prude's death. There's just no way she would bring on Gary Vilke if she believed otherwise.
