@akio_1963 Vigilante is so beautiful. The implied sideways golden light shading such an inspired choice. Here I was messing with a curve filter to see how this game was meant to look, I am glad I wasn't imagining things.

@B4DC0FFEE speaking of cinematic platformers (which G Lost has an influence from but is not) do you know of a thorough list around on the subject? I could trawl old giant bomb and neogaf etc but is there a comprehensive list to not have to do the work myself putting it together?
@B4DC0FFEE the chasing-the-cat-around level is forever carved in my brain for both good and bad reasons. That's the price you pay sometimes with software that flies too close to the sun
@B4DC0FFEE another game with similar sublime levels of A/V presentation that falls apart on the basic platforming / difficulty balancing front is, of course, Chakan: the Forever Man
@B4DC0FFEE also insane choices to make it so you cannot punch if too close to a wall, some really really insane choices only an artist running a project would go for instead of a gameplay designer, heh
Still. Worth exploring every stage for nuance and vibe, this is one-of-a-kind software.
@MechaBarbarian Yeah I have a soft spot for any 8bit and 16bit artist I've seen that is straddling lines between organic tilework and full on, unapologetic tile-land and this fits the bill. Somewhere between Flashback influence and Jim Lee X-men era influence, an interesting mix. Best with CRT
@MechaBarbarian this is the artist that cut his teeth doing the X-men MD game which I also love the audiovisual of. I just recommend a nice difficulty down romhack for that one you ain't gonna make much progress otherwise
I can't believe people all around the world are at the hands of a half-illiterate american public as it debates whether to hand off the nuclear codes to a rapist nazi cheeto. HMMM what a difficult choice, HMMM whatever shall we do. And the genocide must continue at any rate!
The first alchemist was the one who set the fire that consumed the Veiled Lady. To atone for such a sin, all those privy to the Highest Secrets swear to use the hand of will elusively to restrain evil and the hand of intuition only to perform the Good.
