@Brad604 If I may clarify something, TN work visas (which she'd previously had and was applying to get again) can only be granted by presenting yourself at a border crossing with the necessary documents. So it's actually normal and a necessity to show up with an incomplete work visa.
@dieworkwear My favorite part about this: the woven blankets that preceded the Hudson's Bay blankets weren't made from sheep's wool. They were made with a mixture of mountain goat hair, and mostly, the wool of a breed of (sadly extinct) small fluffy dog they kept especially for the purpose.
@k8_lister If you haven't seen it, historian J. Draper has an excellent historical review of the Muppets version on her YouTube.
By "excellent", I mean "watching a historian go increasingly bonkers at how historically accurate the singing puppets are".
@nyaika256 My dad had a 1990 Toyota Corolla, back when they inexplicably came with 4WD and diff locks. My brother's Tercel from a couple years before that had a clinometer built into the dash, 4WD, and a gear below first gear. For all your rock-crawling, 3 cylinder engine needs.
@hankgreen if you want to feel better, the provincial governments themselves don't agree on the map. There's *still* a border dispute between Quebec and Newfoundland regarding the definition of Labrador.
@davepetley there's an emergent situation in BC with a landslide blocking the Chilcotin River, a Major tributary of the Fraser.

@DGlaucomflecken You kid, but in the Scottish national museum there's a sedan chair a gynecologist would use, arriving to births being carried by two servants
@earthquakeguy the Nootka Fault and the Explorer-QCF triple junction are in a competition for which can cause me to receive the most well meaning but unwarranted "oh god are you okay?" emails from people in eastern provinces.
@yazicambunu @itsjamesherring It's a shoutout to graffiti by a medieval viking in the Hagia Sofia that says "Halfdan Was Here", the man in the ad having the same name.
I love it and am so confused why they included it.
@GeoBrentatlarge This is the kind of content that makes Twitter worth coming to. Is glaciotectonized where the sands have been sheared by the overriding till?
@k8_lister I think the throuple/unicorn hunting of "looking for a third" is actually the most toxic monogamy possible: it's being so fragile in your relationship that you consider the two of you a single unit instead of two people capable of independence.
@dieworkwear 7th grade Home Ec teaching me that sewing machines aren't scary is how, 22 year later, one of my main hobbies is industrial sewing and making my own backpacks, drybags, and kayaks.
@hankgreen fun fact: there's an American Vancouver because the fort was bought by a British company during the war of 1812, but then an overzealous British captain arrived and "conquered" it for the Brits anyway, and because of that, it had to be given back to the US under the treaty terms.
@spahn711 Definitely Dry Falls and all the other glacial weirdness around there. Petrified forest is cool, and I haven't been but blue lake rhino cave is high on my list.
