It was a delight to be with Mathew Xiong, a former @UnivReformed fellow, and preach at his ordination and installation service.

He is the first (of hopefully many) Hmong PCA pastor and, by God’s grace, is planting Rush Creek Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

We don’t get to redefine Jesus. Don’t take my word for it

Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many—Jesus Mat. 10:18

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness so must the Son of Man be lifted up—Jesus Jn 3:14

Pete Holmes Says Christianity Is All About Finding Your Dad Again

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

So good. Good teaching/leadership principles on display:

communicate clear expectations
critique concisely
encourage more than critique
speak to and with, not down
model the aim
explain the future benefits
encourage again

Join with me in prayer, please.

Maggie was discharged yesterday afternoon. Caitlin and her will stay in Jackson until her outpatient clinic appointment Thursday morning, where she will receive her first dose of medication for TMA.

Please pray this medication would be effective at completely reversing the damage done to her body, and that she would be safe from side effects and infections.

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

@_BenRatliff @CAHutch1990 On it! Praying.

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

This was fun.

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

@_BenRatliff Oh brother, praying for you and your dear Maggie! May the Good Shepherd be so very near.

A good warning for pastors from Samuel Miller:

A wicked minister is the most wicked of all men. His sins are extensively and permanently mischievous than those of other men. He sins against greater light, and stronger obligations, and more solemn engagements than other men...

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

@Kevin__Miller I will have to look at it. I’m not good with all these new fangled thingamajiggers.

Returning to the dissertation after a 3 year hiatus. This is the setup for my week of study leave. I’d welcome prayers for clarity, focus, and fruitfulness.

A wonderful night doing a Q@A with our college ministry (Spartan Christian Fellowship)!

And some of the guys decided to welcome me with an “honorary Jason suit coat.” Thoughtful 😆

Doing the work of the church this week and watching @fredgreco in his element as our new Stated Clerk of the PCA.

There is real danger in desiring, let alone attempting, to see God apart from Christ.

Yembiyembi Scripture translation (Bisis) brought into the Bible Museum collection. What a day!

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

@JohnStSomething Just be sure your elders approve it first 😉

I love to see such passion/enthusiasm and…it always makes me think about the lackluster way we often approach weekly Lord’s Day worship.

Church, we have the greater reason, experience, promise, and assured hope (and to be fair, VT needs hope).

Great job by ESPN airing the entire Enter Sandman experience!

[Jason Helopoulos @Helopoulos]

It was a delight to talk about the Lord’s work through our ministerial training program @UnivReformed with @derekradney for @a4mrofficial I’m hoping others will be encouraged to consider the same & some might help us refine the own program after listening.

It was an honor to write the foreword for such a helpful book on one of the most essential subjects. Take up and read.
