'Operation Ark is a go, all the flights and issues have been approved...but the question is actually getting to the airport.'
Wildlife campaigner Dominic Dyer says despite approval for Pen Farthing and hundreds of animals to be rescued from Afghanistan, problems remain.
URGENT: Reports coming in of @PenFarthing & his @Nowzad team blocked from entering South Gate of #Kabul Airport, after already waiting over 10 hours. Please @BWallaceMP & @suhailshaheen1, coordinate your ground teams ASAP & allow them safe passage out, as promised. #OperationArk
Dog's suffocating in the heat as UK Minister goes back on his promise to get Pen, staff and animals out if they made it to the airport. They have been there 4 hours @benwallacemp@BorisJohnson@ZacGoldsmith
"I will be in that airport with my staff & with my animals. I just need my aircraft to be able to land." The brilliant @PenFarthing responds to apparent U-turn by @BWallaceMP & @DefenceHQ, who now appear to be refusing to help @Nowzad escape: https://t.co/q7rs2wkDEN #OperationArk
My wife is at the North gate of Kabul airport being crushed in the stampede to get with my 34 week pregnant country manager. The UK military will not come out to rescue them. @BorisJohnson@DominicRaab anything happens I will hold you personally responsible @BBCBreaking@SkyNews

The future of missing microchipped pets is dependent on a single microchip ID check. SIGN & RT to make it compulsory for vets to check microchip ID at 1st treatment #FernsLaw

So happy Fern is finally home, where she belongs!
I believe all vets should routinely scan dogs they've not seen before & check their chip details match those given to the practice. What's the point having compulsory chipping if we don't use it to reunite lost/stolen dogs? 🐶
