This initiative aims to raise money to send oxygen cylinders to India. We are working with the High Commission of India and the Indian Red Cross Society.
@HelpIndiaBeatC1 is choosing to focus efforts on the wellbeing and education of young girls affected by COVID-19 in rural India.
👧🏽 We are sponsoring six girls (aged 5-15) through Plan International UK @plan_uk over the next year!

With sponsorship, these girls will be equipped with skills to speak up for their rights, in addition to being provided a healthy diet, access to clean water, and learning materials to continue their education.

Elsewhere, PhD student @saylee_j’s work was gathering pace.
Saylee wanted to support India and raise awareness of challenges faced by those in #OurImperial community with links to India.
In a matter of days, Saylee launched @HelpIndiaBeatC1 and raised over £4,500 👏🏾

2/3 “Seeing my family and friends suffering in India filled me with a desire to help in anyway I could. This fundraiser has given a chance to do this despite being thousands of miles away. We will be able improve the situation on the ground and provide life-saving equipment.”
