@useStable@LinkedIn , please stop recommending Stable / @useStable founders and employees to me.
After what I experienced with Stable, seeing their founder’s face in my inbox is genuinely disturbing.
This company handled my address, mail access, identity documents, and account in a way that caused real stress and damage.
I documented everything here:

Please stop putting them back in front of me.

Be careful when choosing an ITIN service provider.
I found many ITIN services on Fiverr operated by providers from Turkey, India, and Pakistan claiming to be CAAs. Some even display clients’ ITIN approval notices on their service pages, which is extremely concerning.
I also found many fake CPA / EA profiles. Some appear to use real U.S. CPA information taken from other professionals, and even provide those CPA details to customers for “verification.” In some cases, the CPA certificates look almost identical to real ones.
If you need an ITIN, please verify the provider through multiple channels before submitting your passport or personal information.
Check:
- IRS CAA directory
- State CPA license lookup
- EA verification
- Business website and domain
- Reviews outside the platform
- Whether they protect client documents and notices
Your passport, ITIN notice, and tax identity are sensitive documents. Do not trust a provider just because they show a certificate or a profile page.

IRS ITIN processing update:
The IRS is currently processing ITIN applications received around mid-April.
We are checking application records with the IRS for our clients. If your ITIN is approved, we will notify you of your ITIN number by email.

If you are an indie hacker / solo founder, ask yourself:
Are your company address, bank address, Stripe / PayPal, and customer contracts tied to a provider you cannot control?
#indiedev#SaaS#buildinpublic
4/They seem to think a refund ends the problem.
But this is not a Netflix subscription.
This is a company address, mail access, identity documents, bank communication, IRS notices.
You cut off my access, refund a subscription fee, and expect me to absorb all the consequences?
That is not a remedy.

3/Don’t upgrade?
Then your account may be closed.
Future mail may never reach you.
Bank letters, IRS notices, customer mail, government documents, and mail already in transit could all be cut off.
This is not a reminder.
This feels like coercion.

1/The most painful mistake I’ve made as a founder this year:I trusted Stable / @useStable with my company address, mail access, and parts of my identity verification flow.
I later realized this was not just a SaaS subscription.
It was infrastructure.
#indiehackers#buildinpublic
2/The worst part is the strategy:
Use low pricing, a polished website, and “unlimited recipients” to get you in.
Wait until your IRS, banks, Stripe, PayPal, customers, and vendors are tied to their address.
Then tell you: your usage no longer fits the rules. Upgrade to a much higher plan.

We also tried to reach out to members of Stable’s founding team and leadership team @collinjpham@SarahAhmad120 for help, hoping this issue could be reviewed and resolved properly. Unfortunately, so far, there has been no meaningful progress or clear explanation regarding the billing descriptor issue.
@useStable, we are asking for a clear public explanation and a fair resolution.
If you are using @useStable / Stable, please pay attention to this issue.
Our Stable account was recently closed due to multiple failed subscription payments. But the part that concerns us the most is that the credit card charges did not clearly appear as payments to an address/mailbox service company. Instead, they appeared as charges related to a nonprofit organization / donation, so our credit card risk system could not recognize them and blocked the transactions.
Only after our account was closed did we realize that these blocked charges were actually Stable subscription payments.
We tried to contact Stable, explain the situation, and offered to pay all outstanding invoices, but they refused to reactivate our account. They also stated that our account was closed because we had multiple addresses/accounts and used the same payment method.
Another serious issue is that even after our account had already been closed, we still saw attempted charges through Stripe, and the billing name still appeared to be related to a nonprofit organization.
The nonprofit name shown in the billing records was:
Stable Companions
https://t.co/VmdxGi8PBX
This raises an important question:
Why would an address/mailbox service provider use the name of a nonprofit organization related to horse care / charity to charge customers?
From our side, these charges looked like nonprofit donations, not commercial subscription payments for a mailbox/address service. This caused our bank/card risk system to block the payments, which eventually led to our account being closed and our mail service being interrupted.
After we discovered this issue, we contacted @useStable multiple times to ask why the billing descriptor did not match the actual service and requested an explanation. However, so far, they have not responded to our questions about this issue.
We used Stable to receive important business mail. This situation has caused serious disruption to our business operations.
If you are using Stable, please carefully check your credit card statements.
