@Boston__Sucks@Hockeyjunkie88@EddieAnastasia Maybe, maybe not. I mean Turner and Casty were ice cold, just as bad as Rojas. All our guys struggled to hit. Who’s to say Hoskins would be any different? We know he can slump. This team should’ve beat the DBacks as is. They have plenty of talent, just played badly.
@Boston__Sucks@Hockeyjunkie88@EddieAnastasia I agree with everything but the last part. The structure of this team is not built for consistency. This year or last. The only difference is that they got hot at a better time (later) last season. Regardless, they hit a brick wall both seasons.
@Boston__Sucks@Hockeyjunkie88@EddieAnastasia@JamesSeltzer On paper they were better, their record was better etc.
They just continue to have the same issues of getting ice cold and that’s because they refuse to bat for contact and play small ball. They just peaked earlier this year, but when they were hot, they were better.
@Hockeyjunkie88@EddieAnastasia@JamesSeltzer Bruh that was last year. I’m saying this year was worse because it was. The Phillies were a better team this year, but lost to a much worse opponent than last year.
@_215beatts@JamesSeltzer I agree with that. And that’s on Rob tbh. Kimbrel is just washed, it’s not even his fault. He just shouldn’t have been in the game there.
@_215beatts@JamesSeltzer Yes and no. Kimbrel had nothing to do with them only putting up 1 and 2 runs in the last two games. You won’t win many games like that.
@Ctrain888@EddieAnastasia@JamesSeltzer Eagles played great in the superbowl and barely lost to Patrick Mahomes. You can’t even consider that a collapse.
@Hockeyjunkie88@EddieAnastasia@JamesSeltzer It’s not as bad to lose to a historically good Astros team as it is to collapse and get embarrassed by a .500 DBacks team that they dominated for the first two games. Plus the Phillies were the last wildcard team last year. Expectations weren’t the same.
@sloppyjoe529 @EddieAnastasia@JamesSeltzer Yeah, they played great and barely got beat by an incredible team. These Phillies just totally collapsed against a .500 team. Everyone knew it was over by the 5th inning
@RThinner@JoeGiglioSports Nah cause we’ve seen the Phillies do this all year and last year. They just go cold and stop hitting. Doesn’t matter who’s pitching. They hit on much better pitchers all year, as long as they were on a hot streak.
@frankmikesmith The difference is that these plays all found some loophole that broke the game. The tush push is nothing new - players have been pushing the runner forever. And the Eagles are the only team that have used it this effectively. Without the push they’d still be almost as successful.
@jakep316@JetUpNick@thomasrp93@BillsTalkia How so? I’m an Eagles fan but he hit him clearly in front of both shoulder pads. Reed just had his head turned the other way.
@jelynchjr Lol people in this comment section think professional athletes should just lock themselves in the gym and practice 3-pointers 24/7 their entire career including the offseason
@NuanceBro To clarify, she was knowingly allowed to starve to death. The term “euthanasia” is misleading and partially inaccurate, but this still isn’t a ‘nothing’ story. I’ve seen plenty of headlines that are way more misleading.
@josephtodd_ @Morgank91164504 @UltimaUmbreon That’s what I’m trying to say. If I could force everyone in the world to have my bands music on their phone “for free”, I would.
