Our chance to finally end the pandemic is slipping away. We MUST reach some of the remaining unvaccinated Americans to regain the upper hand on COVID-19.
Who are they, how do we reach them, and why haven’t we done it yet?
A thread 🧵 ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
Lowest vaccine rates in #NJ are in predominately poor and minority towns. We need to do better reaching out and protecting these communities. "These 10 large N.J. towns have fewer than 50% of adults vaccinated for COVID." #covidenders https://t.co/DXeuYOMaXA
Five under-vaccinated cluster areas put entire #COVID19 fight in jeopardy reports @elizcohencnn for @CNN

@johnbrownstein @adamwcrawley @VaccineFinder@CDCgov@CastlightHealth Nice! But what about people who don't have internet access / low computer literacy? How about when people use this site to scoop appointments in underserved neighborhoods?
Let us assist w/@HelplineSOS - it's @NSF vetted & already in charitable clinics, will make this equitable.
@harlemedic@darakass That's exactly right. Utilizing existing systems that are well known is the best way to reach those who are hardest to get to. Our @HelplineSOS keeps existing phone #, but routes #covid19 calls at charitable clinics across the US. Our free tool has helped them answer 75k+ calls.
After you get the #covid19 vaccine, do you still need to wear a mask?
The answer is yes! To keep yourself & others safe, continue wearing a mask. If everyone continues to mask up, the sooner we can all take them off.

I work at a NJ-based nonprofit and have created a system called @HelplineSOS that has been helping charitable clinics across the US set appointments for testing and the vaccine. The system has done over 75k+ call backs. We can help in NJ, please have someone contact us @GovMurphy
Getting a #COVID19 vaccine appointment can be very difficult, especially for those who are not computer savvy.
We are thrilled to be featured by @WillFOIA & @CNBC in their story about the struggles - and how @HelplineSOS + @CovidFinishLine is helping.

Securing #COVID19 vaccine appointments can be a difficult, frustrating process with doses nationwide remaining far short of demand.

COVID-19 cases are increasing across the nation & Georgia is no exception. It is important we remind each other the importance of getting tested if we feel like we have been exposed. Contact our free helpline at 404-618-6983 and press 1 to be connected. @HelplineSOS
That’s 10,000 people to one charitable clinic who didn’t need to visit in person, potentially putting others at risk. @HelplineSOS is protecting frontline health workers and making the entire process of getting info and tests easier for patients.
