‘Together…we will build a country ready to fight and a Britain worth fighting for.’
Defence Secretary Wes Streeting praises the Labour government's record on defence investment.
QUEENSLAND HAS SPOKEN.
If an election were held today, Queenslanders would rather have Pauline Hanson as Prime Minister than Anthony Albanese.
52% Hanson. 48% Albanese.
One Nation primary in Queensland: 36%
Labor: 25%
Coalition: 19%
That’s not a protest vote, that’s a rejection.
Labor’s primary in Queensland has alarming for them collapsed five points in three months.
One Nation is now first in Queensland and New South Wales 31% vs Labor’s 30%.
They’re within a point of Labor in South Australia and Western Australia.
Victoria is the only holdout at 25%.
Nationally One Nation is sitting on about 30% primary. Labor falling to 29. The Coalition not even in the ballgame at 19.
The same media that spent months calling Hanson a “coward”, a “racist”, and “primitive” just watched Queensland pick her over the Prime Minister.
The same Liberal MPs who thought cartooning Hastie would sink her just watched their own voters peel off.
James Paterson says he’s “unsurprised” and that One Nation “looks like the most significant change on offer.”
Then he immediately warned they don’t have a “credible team.”
That’s the Coalition in one sentence: they just don’t get it.
Rates are about to rise again this week. Households are already being crushed. Borders are a joke. Housing is a disaster.
And Queensland just told Canberra they’d rather take their chances with Hanson than another three years of this.
The majors can keep sneering.
The numbers don’t lie.
