@RobbieButlerMLA @mckkarl There is no ‘staged return’ for all other services who have to adapt to the ever changing world we live in - schools are clean - the general public behaviour is what is failing to ‘fight’ COVID19 - not the returning to schools
@RobbieButlerMLA @mckkarl But yet again - our child population who following infection control measures (because children listen) - are going to continue to be a casualty of this pandemic in so many ways
@RobbieButlerMLA @mckkarl Trying to go for a walk in public is sometimes like a cattle market in NI. Even going for essential food stuffs is busier than normal
@RobbieButlerMLA @mckkarl As a paediatrician I genuinely don’t see the benefit in ‘staged opening’ - why are ppl surprised by the increase cases identified - NI was allowed new ‘Christmas Bubbles’ (a phrase that changed a mindset that it was ok to mix more)
Following rules of infection control = right decision. Closing schools following infection control measures = wrong decision. Adapting in all environments, together = right decision. The NHS is not the only service needing protected @peterweirmla@RobinSwannMoH@RCPCHIreland
What a super message to children from @RobinSwannMoH on @bbcradioulster -one little boy was concerned Santa would be unable to come this year because of Covid19. The "Elf Minister" had a word with Santa and confirmed Santa would indeed be delivering presents this Christmas.Magic!
Thank you to all the parents and champions who helped to design the 'should I send my unwell child to school?' flowchart

A quick recap on burns first aid! Really important as we approach Holloween when we see a lot of burns injuries. Remember-cool, call, cover. (Please ignore my terrible video debut!)

@mlchealth An example of trying to make services available to those who need it during this pandemic (and any other we may face) - SARS-CoV2 is not the only illness out there causing harm. Our NI CV19 case numbers are relevant, but access to essential services should be shared in parallel
@mckkarl @RayRlnet @louisenetherco2 I think my tweet may be congratulating Karl - but Ray I hope you get the message 😂 - Karl, enjoy ur drink celebrating 😂😂😂
An understandable fear for the public. Help show what services are available and how healthcare providers adapt daily to meet health needs safely so that the public aren’t put off attending - Paediatric services are very much open @RCPCHIreland@BBCNewsNI@RobinSwannMoH@rcgp_ni
CV19: There is concern among health professionals that covid in hospitals could be putting people off attending - that should not be the case Especially in cardiology! @BBCNewsNI
