@InsideOKST @CFB_Signals A lot of the WVU staff was together before WVU. Alley was really the only big new addition. And he’s now in year 2.

Coach Trickett wasn’t on the staff last year, he stayed at Jax St. But he’s coached with RR for a long time. Also why the OL is so much better this year lol

@goJohnnyA @CFB_Signals I think WVUs defense forced UVA into that kinda game. Once Pribula got rocked in the 1st quarter, he (or coaches) started to play timid. He’s at his best when he improvises. He was too scared to improvise. Or coaches were too scared of him getting hurt & told him not to

@Orange_Saloon The next biggest problem with the defense is the complexity in the schemes. Playing a lot of freshmen and sophomores on that side of the ball. Alley could probably dumb it down some & see improvements (like he did vs UVA).

@Orange_Saloon Secondary is good & very physical. Corners are very good with a lot of height. The biggest problem with the WVU defense is the athleticism at the linebacker position. They’re great in run defense but too slow in coverage.

@CFB_Signals @InsideOKST Agreed. And just the overall experience between the two head coaches is huge. I like the experienced coach whenever the teams are pretty equal. Especially at home too.

@CFB_Signals @MWCPokeFan @3OrangeWhipps But on the bright side, whenever Krahe left the game Saturday, there wasn’t any drop off from the OL. If he’s not 100%, I think we can get by with some depth playing. I’m mostly just concerned about KB. Could be his toughest 1v1 matchup of the season.

@CFB_Signals @MWCPokeFan @3OrangeWhipps The biggest concern for WVU is if Kevin Brown can hold his own on the OL & if Krahe is healthy. If Krahe isn’t fully healthy, that limits play calling. And if KB struggles, that also limits play calling.

@sattlehorn @EerBeard On paper, WVU & OKST are pretty similar teams in terms of talent. Give me the veteran coach @ home.

@sattlehorn @EerBeard Oregon isn’t very good (tons of talent but horrible coaching) and likely finishes the season on the bubble of the top 25 & that’ll mostly be due to their name. They’re no better than UVA.
