Today we remember the fallen heroes of D‑Day, whose courage and sacrifice shaped the world we live in. Their bravery will never be forgotten. For anyone wishing to take a quiet moment of reflection, the Shell at Shell Corner stands as a place of peace and remembrance, honouring those no longer with us. We also remember the women and animals of war — the nurses, factory workers, codebreakers, and loyal companions who served alongside our forces with unwavering dedication. Their strength and service remind us that courage takes many forms. #Wewillrememberthem
@HPUK shocking service I'm having after ordering a new laptop from you. On the website you show you get FREE 3 year care package but you're not getting this sorted via my emails and phone calls. Will be soon returning the item if it's not resolved!!!!
🎉 6 Weeks to Go!
Get ready for Halesowen Carnival & Music Festival — kicking off the Black Country Festival on Saturday 4th July, 11:30 AM – 8 PM at Highfields Park, Halesowen (B63 4SQ)!
This year’s celebration is proudly supported by Halesowen Motor House, a local family‑run business since 1953 — huge thanks for backing our community once again! 🙌
Since 2015, the Carnival has grown bigger and brighter every year, bringing you a fun‑packed, FREE day out for all ages.
And to make it even easier, we’ve secured FREE parking across council owned car parks within Halesowen — helping ease side‑road congestion and supporting our local town centre. 🚗💚
Each year we support a local cause or charity, this year we're supporting Arrive Alive Charity and Community First Responders. Chat with them on the day and find out about the amazing things they do for the communities.
Tag your friends, spread the word, and let’s make this year’s event the best yet!
Keep an eye on our posts for exciting updates on what’s happening on the day. 🎶🎪 @everyone Black Country Radio

@ShaliniVar@PhilHs10 I always say to residents of you don't like any of those standing then spoil the paper. They get counted. Forget politics when voting look who is active all the time and always is there when needed. No matter the party badge view for them. They give you a strong community
Thanks for your tag and the message you sent me direct, I'm am as frustrated as you and others are. I'm constantly forwarding and emailing officers etc to chat up missed collections.
I've just sent the following message to the chief Exec, director, leader and cabinet member
Once again I'm getting bombarded with messages, emails and phone calls. This is not good for us residents, as the following message says rubbish is littering the streets due to late collections, it's unacceptable and I'm tired of trying to fight a campaign whilst fighting through bags and bins on the streets as we make our way round.
No more excuses saying it's done in the same week etc, those with pushchairs, buggies, mobility scooters etc cannot get by, forcing them into the road.
Also, on Shell Corner there are no bins which is with most properties there, they put bin bags each week, these are still on the high street by shops which turns people away using these premises.
Huge thanks to Arrive Alive Charity for the donation of bleed kits for our community defibrillator cabinets sited at The Swan Inn Halesowen, Coombs Wood Sports & Social Club and Merryvale nursery.
Find out what this charity is involved in, such a great charity that continues to grow and help safe life all over

8 years ago it was great to see The Shell lowered in to place after a project that had s few obstacles out in place by some. These were overcome and now this monument brings locals together each year in remembrance. #togetherwecanmakeadifference
After being contacted this morning I've popped along to Narrow Lane due to a few cars blocking driveways and the pavement. I'll pass vehicle details to the police as its a police issue.
I have put a couple of notices out to let the drivers know that it's illegal to abandoned your vehicle in this way and more respect is required. @HalesowenWMP
🎉 Drumroll, please! We’ve not only met our fundraising target for the Kids clothes project, but we’re still soaring high—literally! I’m about to jump out of a plane at a breathtaking 15,000 feet! 🚀
A colossal thank you to everyone who donated; you’re the real heroes here! Just remember, I hope your contributions are for the kids and not just for the thrill of watching me take the leap! Let’s keep the good vibes rolling and support this fantastic cause! 💖✈️ 😕 🪂🛬

Increase waterway dredging to help prevent flooding -
Riverbeds accumulate silt and debris over time, restricting water flow. Dredging can remove these obstacles, helping to improve waterways' capacity to handle heavy rainfall and to reduce flooding risks.
While some worry about the impact on flora and fauna, we think the greater threat lies in blocked waterways, which can suffocate aquatic life and disrupt ecosystems. We view dredging as vital for community protection & wildlife preservation. We urge decision-makers to prioritize dredging efforts.
