Today, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, we came together as a family to celebrate. Our Chinese colleagues shared the background of the festival, which is centered on reunion and togetherness. In the same spirit of cultural appreciation, and with China’s National Day this week and Uganda’s Independence Day drawing near, a presentation was also given on Uganda’s journey to independence, including highlights of its history.
These activities were designed to help our staff gain a deeper appreciation of the diverse backgrounds we come from while strengthening cross-cultural understanding and unity within our team.
When the dust settled, Team Waraga rose as champions! 🏆👏 Big up to our Legal and Drilling teams—your collaboration made all the difference. From Nzizi, Ngara, Kingfisher, Mpuuta to Ngiri, every team put up a spirited fight. More than competition, it is about teamwork, collaboration, and cultural exchange across departments.
Today, we hosted the Executive Director of the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, Mr. Ernest N.T. Rubondo, and his team for a supervisory visit to the Kingfisher Oilfield. They reviewed project progress and witnessed our community investment initiatives, including rice and millet demonstration gardens—key components of our green ecological oilfield program. These initiatives are designed to promote sustainable livelihoods and support long-term community development as we advance Uganda’s energy future.
