No concerns that some of the vulnerable young people I work with are making poor choices which will have long term impacts. That our mental health provision is under funded & staffed & these young people are accessing info online instead?

We are fighting hard to ensure our voices are heard. My professional voice is being heard in meetings & there are more voices joining me every day. I have sat up for hours with vulnerable children who have sought me out for support because I do not judge & will always listen. I have taken them to appointments & listened to their confusion. What have you ever done?

If a young girl is engaging in hugely risky sexual behaviour we have option of placing them in a secure unit to keep them safe. So if a young vulnerable girls decide they are male we should just let them go forward with this? Not on my watch.

Why is it only now I am having these conversations with young females who in most cases have been abused (by males) & are very confused.

My professional experience & concerns that drove me to engage in this debate. No bloody young girl I work with will not hear a counter argument that they should become bloody trans men to be happy. There are no trans children in my 20 years of experience of working with vulnerable children. There are only confused, scared & sad children who need adult support & guidance. What professional experience do you have to counter my point.

That we should support them to love their lives to the full & recover from whatever abuse a male has done to them. Now what access do you have to children? They should not be given to children. What qualifications or professional experience do you both have to give anyone advice? What the hell do you both know about issues adolescents have?
