@DanKelley66 Itโs about diversification of shots and creating a more efficient 3 point shots. Giannis scores more 2s and FTs and creates more open 3s, increases TS%, win more games. Simple equation.
@NElGHT_ Joe is undoubtedly in that sphere off of 99% of the season. This game (other than this moment) is not the argument for COtY status. Horrible subs, blowing a 10 point lead with less than 3 mins left, bad play design to end reg. Hopefully just an anomaly.
@John_Karalis Joe was awful in that 4th. Why so much Schierman and Simons when neither was going, and then limited Walsh and Hugo? Super confusing, needed more guys who can rebound out there.
@FrostyBias I can only imagine it was a rebounding issue. Seems to be the only thing that he struggles with, just an inability to secure contested boards. Heโs fine when he can pick them out of the air, but I could imagine him being exposed by KAT and Robinson.
@footyindustryAU When youโve got actual community sports (like Basketball in Sydney) that turn kids away from the sport as well. Truly laughable stuff.
@skillacqlascu I think sometimes itโs a matter of self value and insecurity. When you derive a significant chunk of your self worth from coaching because you love it, it can be scary or confronting when someone, even with the best intentions, critiques or offers changes.
@LOCeltics@John_Karalis Can someone delve into why Joe is just refusing to play Jordan Walsh? Like the guy projects as this rangey do it all wing who can make shots and fused 1-4 and we are rolling out Baylor for more mins in a blowout than him.
@KeithSmithNBA Why is he out there Keith? Heโs been awful to close this game other than the big shot. Isnโt guarding has been making poor choices and hasnโt impacted winning. Donโt understand why Queta out there instead of Jrue when Tatum is guarding Okungwu. Coaching staff falling asleep.
@CTabatabaie Yes, but also what was that lineup to close the 3rd? Tatum with PP, Hauser, Horford and Kornet? Whoโs creating here when theyโre sending doubles at Tatum? Not a great quarter from Joe and the coaches rotation wise.
@FrostyBias @mikewichter We deserved to lose this and sometimes you deserve to get officiated in a certain way. We have been playing like a team that doesnโt want to be physical and so we havenโt got fouls.
@FrostyBias Some of the calls are bogus, but I just donโt get upset anymore when other teams get more calls, we play a very foul averse style of play.
@nathanmarzion Probably part of it, in a nice way, is one of the two has actual value and would actually help a team, whilst the other has a track record of history, underperforming, injury and playoff underperforming. Everyone would love Giannis on their team, no one wants Embiid.
