Colts need new GM. That GM needs to decide if Steichen stays or goes. If Steichen goes, you can’t bring back Jones. DJs play was a result of Steichens scheme. So who plays QB for new GM with no 1st round picks next 2 years?

Aging roster. Buck needs to find a successful team to finish his career with. He deserves a chance at a ring. Colts can’t give him that. We need NEW linebackers that can cover for this NFL. Exterior D fine if we can retain Cross somehow. Keep Pearce but Pitt needs upgraded.

I feel bad for Rivers but the colts have been playing below time competition since Pittsburgh. 1 lucky breakout from JT got them a win in Germany. I like Jones but he is not the renascence man. The core of this roster has been wasted. Time for a reboot from root to stem.

The Colts brought 44-year-old Philip Rivers out of retirement to help get them into playoffs after Daniel Jones injury. Now that they've been eliminated, it's fair to wonder if Shane Steichen would turn to rookie Riley Leonard Sunday vs. Jax. It didn't sound like it when that was mentioned during the week.
Rivers was scheduled to take all the reps with the 1s in practice and it wouldn't be "fair'' to suddenly go with the sixth-round pick. "So yeah, Philip will be the guy this Sunday.''
No one should be surprised if Steichen goes with Leonard in the season finale at Houston. He would be thrown in against a ferocious defense, but every rookie gets better with extended reps.
