@JustinHawkins: not just the last of the great rock stars, but an absolute gentleman who did something incredibly kind for my wife's school yesterday. Thank you, Justin, if you still do Twitter - nobody will ever forget it.

@ChrisHewitt I wouldn't have thought so. Because they didn't strictly deliver "the head, the tail, the whole damn thing". They just turned it into a pulverised mush, that promptly sank, and they actually couldn't have proved they'd killed it at all.
@richpelley Thanks Rich - I think he does say 'leapfrogging', and I got the sense it means bouncing between different venues/stages where your gear is set up and waiting for you. But, weirdly, I can't find any trace of this concept/term on the web. I think I'll just cut that line!
Anyone out there in a band? Do you know what it means to 'leapfrog stages'? Someone said it to me in an interview and I'm not entirely sure what they meant!
@richpelley Ah, interesting... the way he said it (Mark Knopfler, by the way, not that I'd dream of namedropping) suggested it was more Dire Straits management maximising their gigging by "leapfrogging three stages" in a day. Nice to hear from you, by the way - have always loved your writing
@ChrisHewitt Yep, agreed, Chris. Enthusiasm for AI is the clearest indicator of a dickhead that I know. If you're excited about all this bollocks, I'll do everything I can to avoid you.
Thrill of a lifetime to interview @brianmaycom for the cover of @Guitarist_Mag - and mad to hear about the early years when Queen were (briefly) penniless losers! Pick up a print copy if you can...
@PhilWilliams They were brilliant in Wolverhampton. I was expecting Squire to be sublime (and he was) but the revelation was Liam - canโt believe how great his live singing is at the moment.
@PhilWilliams Iโm good, thanks. Ticked off two true bucket-list interviews the other day (John Squire & Liam Gallagher) - my inner 90s schoolboy has never been happier. Let me know if you ever need a music pundit!
@jesshods Fifth option - โItโs the worst thing to happen to humanity this century, with the potential to devastate the job market, stamp out culture, soften our brains, enrich the tech barons and maybe even kill us all in a fiery apocalypseโ.
@Nick_Ruskell Yes, itโll suddenly be unbearably, oppressively hot and weโll all be glistening like rotisserie chicken. Britain no longer has a middle setting.
@wigsandgowns Yeah, big disappointment. As far as I can see, AI is like someone slipping through the back door of a restaurant, stealing a load of food, mulching it into rancid hamburgers and flogging them outside. I hope future judges have the intelligence to see that.
