We've just updated https://t.co/EkwTYyJ0UM -- 1527 new entries added, bringing us to a total of 67,206 pieces of recorded music catalogued (on 16,092 discs, if anyone still remembers what those are). Happy searching in 2025 and beyond!
We've just updated https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui: 780 new entries, for a new total of 65679 pieces of recorded music in the database. Happy searching in 2024, everyone.
We fixed the bug with searches that involve timing ranges. If you were having trouble doing searches that including timing specifications (such as "<= 45:00", or "25:00 - 30:00", etc) please try again -- it should work now.
As always, please let us know of any problems.
First update of 2023:
We just updated https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui: 876 new entries (!), for new total of 64899 entries in the database. Each entry means one piece of music on record -- 64899 entries represents a lot of musician time. Thanks, musicians! Happy searching, everyone.
In case you just had to know: the entries also represent 96984549 seconds of recorded music -- that is, a little over three years of continuous listening.
A belated update to https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui: 203 new entries, bringing us to a new total of 64023.
Happy searching & reporting, everyone! Suggestions and improvements are always welcome, of course.
It wouldn't be February without a https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui update, now would it? 174 new entries, for a total of 63820. Enjoy!
Bonus: All Domenico Scarlatti keyboard sonatas are now consistently labeled with Kirkpatrick (K.) numbers, as well as Longo (L.) numbers as before.
We inexplicably failed to tweet our Jan. 22nd https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui update (I swear I remember tweeting it, but what's more likely: my memory had a failure or Twitter's servers had a failure?).
Anyway, there were 63646 entries as of that then, but watch this space for more...
We welcome in August with another update to the https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui database. 268 new entries, plus the usual scattering of corrections to existing entries. The site now has 62,929 entries total.
Happy summer and happy classical-music-recording-searching, everyone!
We've updated https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui again -- 443 new entries, for a total of 62368. Happy searching, everyone.
(Also, for those who care about the technical details: we migrated the site from MySQL/MariaDB to Sqlite3, so the code got simpler and the site is faster too!)
A minor https://t.co/Duc2mKBzpn update today: 36 new entries, bringing the total to 61,925. However, please don't think we've been slacking off! This update also includes some corrections to old entries.
Happy searching, everyone. Bug reports are welcome, as always.
The https://t.co/jjt0UuFcui database has just been updated with almost *600 new entries* (okay, 596, but who's counting?), for a total of 61,889.
Happy searching, everyone! Feedback is welcome as always; for that matter, so are improvements to our #opensource infrastructure.
Hey, everyone, the site was down for a while but we fixed it and now it's back up: https://t.co/Duc2mKBzpn. Sorry about the downtime.
For the technically inclined, the details of the fix are here: https://t.co/FAsVGtc9dY
We feel like we should say again that https://t.co/PS5B3FeNvO now does autocomplete (autofill) on most fields: composer, title, orchestra, conductor, soloist, etc.
That was buried in a regular update announcement a while back, so you might have missed it. Now you know. Enjoy!
We're starting out the new year right: Henry did a lot of cataloguing over the winter break, so we've just updated the database with 487 (whoa) new entries, for a grand total of 61,174.
Enjoy your searches, folks! Feedback is welcome, as always.
