"she isn't ready to forgo cigarettes [...] the adverts told her generation it would make them appear grown-up, glamourous, powerful, clever, desirable and above all, cool
no one told them it would actually make them dead"

It is "important to know the past [of queer theory] in order to know oneself". Dealing with the past brings light to histories that have been hidden in the dark.
„European liberals invoke their own „enlightened toleration“ of LGBTQ+ individuals in order to legitimate hostility towards Muslims“
Such a powerful sentence, there are so many people generalizing all Muslims and thinking they need to „liberate“ especially Muslim women

This week's #SongOfTheWeek is "Boys" by @katcunningmusic! To quote Kat: "We are queer 365 days of the year, and while we stan every inch of umbrella representation, this is a much-deserved moment just for the boys." 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Today is #IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia). There's still a long way ahead of us in the fight for equality. Keep fighting. Keep speaking up. Your identity is valid. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ #QueerRights are #HumanRights 🌈
