700% richer in dollars - but we’ve lost 73% of ALL wild animals in that time. 😤
Let that sink in. WTF are our priorities…

I like the part of Come Together when they say “He’s got feet down below his knees” cause I’m like phew that’s exactly where knees should be I was worried it was gonna be something freaky again like the juju eyeballs

It cannot be overstated how every one of these tankers going down either in Europe or the Middle East is its own massive ecological disaster.

Once you add them all up we’re talking about ecocide at that point. We’re killing everything with these wars. Not just us.

Probably going to be completely overlooked by the media but today is the 200th birthday of photography as a medium and that’s pretty cool

I remember going to the climate talks all the way back in 2009 and talking with Nepali activists and experts who were doing everything they could to sound the alarm that the “roof of the world” was melting and would start to crack in exactly these ways.

Events like the ones of this week aren’t just tragedies, they’re crimes. We’ve known for decades that the burning of fossil fuels would lead to disasters like this, but the industry and their politicians have continued to block action at every turn.

It’s past time we start making polluters pay for the damage they’ve done.

SLO PITCH is out on @cravecanada Sept 25th and @hbomax Australia + @skytv soon! Showrunning Slo Pitch and getting to play Boris on this was the most fun I’ve had since Laser Quest birthday party circa 1999.

This image of a football match in Gaza was removed from a sports photography festival in France, following Israeli pressure.

[weird medieval guys NEW BOOK OUT NOVEMBER 5!!! @WeirdMedieval]

just read about a medieval guy amassing an army of ‘50 thousand clowns’ by ‘beguiling them with his juggling’ and got so excited before i realised clown used to mean ‘farm worker’ and juggling used to mean ‘general trickery’

#BREAKING: Hamilton's farmland is being handed over to Doug Ford's developer friends.

Hamilton residents were asked. They said no. Council voted to hold the line. None of it mattered, because Doug Ford ordered the expansion in 2022, reversed it when the Greenbelt scandal caught up with him, then passed a law letting developers appeal to a tribunal he appoints. Hamilton families will be paying to service that land for the next thirty years on their property taxes.

His friends get the land. You get the bill.
