@mikeryan But even Genghis Khan, despite history's best efforts, Khan is confusing. Thanos at least has the overpopulation motivation. Genghis Khan just conquers and that's all the explanation we get. Oh and he has unlimited numbers of offpsring so I'm not really sure what the stakes are.
@kabluekijones @TwoSecondDork You don't think suicide is real pain and suffering? Something doesn't need to be on a large scale to be "real pain and suffering". Every suicide is a tragedy, every suicide has ripple effects on the community, every suicide matters. And suicide often happens BECAUSE of suffering.
@Donathan_DonDon @skullmandible Film is a visual medium: dialog is important but showing has more power. And film at it's best is about the human experience. Trying to discard a key part of being human as "unnecessary" is to deny what makes us...us.
@Donathan_DonDon @skullmandible But HOW they have sex can tell us quite a bit. Are they gentle? Is it more rough or passionate or they break something? Do they look at each other? Are they bored or is still exciting? Film is a visual medium and sex is a part of the human experience.
I'll say that Ultima games have aged poorly to the point where every time I've tried playing them, I just can't. I wish EA would consider remaking the games (even though I know the original fans would hate them) but keeping the stories/themes the same.
@OldTechAdverts Best. Game. Ever. (IMHO)
Written by the creative polymath and absolute genius @RichardGarriott. I'd *strongly* encourage anyone to read into him and his creativity and achievements; mind-boggling.
(He's also travelled a bit). Take a look...

@Michael1979 #5 is so specific that it must have actually come from personal experience. The rest, though, vague enough that only science would think them up.
@nicholas_whaley @benjaminftw The Babylon project was our last best hope for peace. A self-contained world five miles long, located in neutral territory. A place of commerce and diplomacy for a quarter of a million humans and aliens. A shining beacon in space, all alone in the night.
@mrbigwalt @torriangray Except he's factually wrong: there were zombies in the episode, they were just not at the forefront. And the episode was about how it was still possible for two people to make a life together despite the apocalyptic state of the world.
@UltamatumDev@TheRealBehaart@merrittk I don't really count those as skill trees, at least not in the traditional way? 14 though definitely doesn't. You just level up in those games, and sometimes do quests for skills. (11 you buy the skills a la the early games).
10, 12, 13 are different than 15's more direct tree.
