I still remember 2016.

I was at the ICAN Professional Stage.

On Saturdays, it was all about Classes from morning till evening.

On Sundays, I would leave church early to resume classes till evening.

It wasn't convenient.❌

Today, many people admire the ACA designation, but they rarely see the sacrifices behind it.

𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻.

If you truly want those three letters after your name, it's time to pay the price.

• Daily study.✅
• Small, consistent compounding efforts.✅
• Less time on social media and outings.✅
• Discipline over comfort.✅

It won't be easy. But 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆!

Everyone who bears the #ACA designation paid that price.

If you are a fresh graduate, I highly recommend getting a 9-5 job.

The obvious reasons are that you need the money and network and technical know-how.

But another less-talked-about reason is that it’s good for you to actually experience how an organization works.

You learn hierarchy of command, decorum, standard operating procedures, how to investigate failures, how to react to a dynamic environment, how to communicate, how to reward/punish, and so on.

For better or worse, 95% of the way I approach business is copied from Shell.

I simply don’t know how else to run a company. So I do what I’ve seen work for 12 years.

Of course, my business is different from Shell’s so I adjust as needed but the principle and the philosophy carry through.

Some people got born into a family with a long rich history of business/entrepreneurship and maybe even went straight to get an MBA. These folks may start a business fresh out of school and reasonably be expected to succeed.

But if you are like most of us, then I recommend working for someone else for a while.

If I was Ethan Nwaneri, I would look at that right wing and lock in.
Madueke played 36 games for Arsenal last season.
Those are games that he can also get.
There are a lot of minutes to fight for.
There were times Saka was not fit and Madueke wasn’t hitting it. It’s a clear chance for him to take a huge opportunity next season.
