Thanks for the shout. Brian was the first one to harp on me to bunt because I was both fast and undersized. “You should be bunting for a hit once a game.” Such an undervalued skill that’s used at every level. Forget about your stats. You play to win the game.

Every summer I talk about the value of being able to bunt for a hit. Every summer guys fight it.

The ones who realize it’s another weapon…tend to excel.

So this has been one my favorite things this summer…watching Neil run the bases after the game.

Coaches, players, and parents from both sides have been involved…cheering him on.
