The Nigeria Police Force claims that the reported video was misleading. That the heavily armed men on bikes were members of a Vigilante Group and registered hunters. Pls @PoliceNG explain to us:
1. How a vigilante group is allowed to wear an army uniform.
2. Why a vigilante group is carrying heavy machine gvns.
3. Why some are masked up and don't have recognized uniforms like all vigilante groups in Nigeria.
4. Why the people in the video are loud and constituting a nuisance on roads.
Now since you claim these people are hunters, why are they allowed to posses machine guns that isn't authorized for civilians?
Once again, explain to the public why a vigilante or hunter is on army camouflage.
🚨🎙️Teddy Sheringham has told his former club Manchester United not to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham and go for 'better players' in the market:
"I wasn’t so impressed with Mateus Fernandes at West Ham last season. A lot of West Ham fans think he’ll go on to bigger and better things but the jury’s still out for me on Fernandes.
Manchester United need top players. They’ve already got enough decent players. They need to buy the top players or they will miss out again and again.
It was the same with Harry Kane and Declan Rice a few years ago when the chance was there to go and sign them. United were nowhere in the market for them. Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn’t have let that happen.
Sir Alex always brought in the top players and they came in and led by example, and you need those top players at a club like United otherwise you’ll end up in the same situation.
It’s not about having good players. You want great players playing for Manchester United because it takes a lot to play for the club. So go out and break the bank for the top players and let them lead."
🚨 Rio Ferdinand: "Vini Jr SHOULD have WON the Ballon d'Or.
No one really thought about how much of an impact that can have on a player. When you feel you should get something and it doesn't happen, it sometimes knocks people and is hard. There has never been sympathy for him."
Spurs are in advanced talks with Mateus Fernandes as they rival Manchester United for the West Ham midfielder. Fernandes is one of Tottenham's top targets, as exclusively revealed.
West Ham seeking £80m-£85m, around double what they paid to Southampton.
An incoming £90m shareholder cash injection is likely to leave West Ham in a stronger negotiating position.
Manchester United are also in talks with both Fernandes and West Ham.
Spurs are also rivalling Manchester City for Sandro Tonali.
And Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal all have Alex Scott on their radar, who Bournemouth hope signs a new deal.
Movement expected now in the next days/weeks on all fronts as clubs enter into the new financial year.⚒️
🚨⚪️ Marc Cucurella on playing with Vini Jr: “I do NOT care if he doesn't track back, or doesn't help defensively”.
“Let him stay fresh ALL GAME so he can score goals, I will do ALL THE DIRTY WORK for him”.

Owning Up to Leadership Failures and Political Responsibility
This morning, I listened to the British Prime Minister’s speech announcing his planned resignation in July. As a keen observer of global politics, my primary interest lies in examining what successful nations do right and the structural factors that cause others to lag or struggle with governance and development.
The Prime Minister’s planned resignation comes amid mounting public frustration over a stagnant economy, a worsening cost-of-living crisis, and a perceived failure to honour key campaign pledges.
Looking inward in our dear country, we can recall our own situation. Before 2015, our President on several occasions championed the call for the then President Goodluck Jonathan to resign over economic hardship and insecurity affecting Nigerians. During the Chibok school kidnapping incident, he demanded the immediate resignation of President Jonathan, arguing that the government had failed in its most fundamental duty of protecting lives.
During the 2023 election campaign, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made several promises, including improved electricity supply. He also challenged the electorate not to vote for him for a second term if he failed to deliver on those commitments—particularly in providing stable power, fighting corruption, and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
At present, however, these conditions have worsened. Electricity supply remains unreliable, insecurity has intensified in many areas, including kidnappings, and economic hardship has deepened rather than eased. Similar concerns are reflected across other critical sectors such as security, infrastructure, transportation, and anti-corruption efforts, all of which have regressed. We are in the worst possible condition.
I, therefore, join Nigerians of goodwill in calling for the resignation of the President over monumental failure in governance. Such a gesture would help enthrone a political culture rooted in accountability and responsibility, rather than further entrenching impunity. It would also send a powerful message that public office is a sacred trust, not an entitlement, and help build a society in which future leaders understand that failure carries consequences. Only by ending the culture of impunity can we secure a better future for the society our children will inherit in a New Nigeria that is possible. -PO
