URGENT WATER WARNING: TSHWANE URGES RESIDENTS TO SAVE WATER

The City of Tshwane has warned that water levels in the Klapperkop and Garsfontein systems are critically low due to high consumption.

Residents in affected areas may experience low water pressure and intermittent water supply interruptions.

Authorities are urging residents to immediately:

Stop watering gardens.

Avoid washing vehicles and paving.

Stop filling swimming pools.

Use water only for essential needs.

Affected areas include Pretoria CBD, Arcadia, Sunnyside, Hatfield, Brooklyn, Menlo Park, Lynnwood, Garsfontein, Moreleta Park, Faerie Glen, Waterkloof, Mamelodi, Silverton, Montana, Sinoville, Queenswood, Villieria, Waverley and surrounding areas.

The City says it is monitoring reservoir levels and will issue further updates as necessary.

Residents are urged to reduce water consumption immediately to help stabilise supply and prevent further disruptions.
