If you want to buy clothes, accessories, and gadgets at cheaper prices with good qualities, this post is for you.
Here are the best sites and apps where Nigerians can shop for less:
- For clothes and fashion:
1. SHEIN (shein. com): ships directly to Nigeria. One of the cheapest places to buy trendy clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories. The prices are low but read reviews and check size charts before ordering.
2. Temu (temu. com): clothes, accessories, and more at prices that will shock you. Stack your coupons and limited time discounts before checking out. We have talked about this one before.
3. AliExpress (aliexpress. com): one of the largest online marketplaces in the world. Ships to Nigeria with free shipping on most items. Delivery takes 15 to 45 days so plan ahead.
- For gadgets and electronics:
4. Banggood (banggood. com): smartphones, accessories, earphones, smartwatches, and more at very affordable prices. Ships to Nigeria and runs flash sales regularly.
5. MiniInTheBox (miniinthebox. com): perfect for gadget lovers. Covers phone accessories, bluetooth speakers, smartwatches, drones, and more. Ships to Nigeria.
- For both fashion and gadgets:
6. Konga (konga. com): solid Nigerian platform covering fashion, electronics, and accessories. Pay with your naira card and enjoy flexible payment options including KongaPay.
7. Amazon (amazon. com): not everything ships directly to Nigeria but you can use a shipping forwarding service like Bazebo or MyUS to receive your items locally. Great for premium gadgets at better prices than what you see in Nigerian stores.
A few things to always remember before you order from any of these sites:
- Read the product description carefully.
- Check buyer reviews and real photos.
- Confirm your size before ordering clothes.
- For international sites, make sure you have a dollar card or a card that supports international transactions.
The same item selling for 50,000 naira in a local shop could be sitting on one of these platforms for 15,000 naira.
Get started and thank me later.
Above all, love God.
📱If you're unable to create an Apple Account due to phone number verification issues, try this.
1. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
- Toggle "Set Automatically" off.
- Select the correct Time Zone for your location.
- Make sure the date and time are accurate.
2. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Turn Location Services on.
3. Go to Settings > General > Language & Region.
- Set the Region to the country you're currently living in.
4. Restart your iPhone and try verifying your phone number again. It should work.
▫️📱 If the message you're getting is "Your account cannot be created at this time," try this:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Scroll. Then click on Apps.
3. Select Mail, then tap Mail Accounts.
4. Tap Add Account, select iCloud, then tap Create a New Apple Account.
5. Enter the required details and complete the setup.
(This has worked for many people.)
But if it still doesn't work, try these additional steps:
- Connect to a strong Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Turn Airplane Mode on for about 30 seconds, then turn it off.
- You can also update your iPhone to the latest iOS version available.
- If you've made too many verification attempts, wait 24 hours before trying again because Apple may temporarily block further attempts.
- If your phone number was previously used on another Apple Account, you may need to remove it from that account or contact Apple Support.
- If you're unable to verify the number through your iPhone, try signing in throuh another person's iPhone or Apple device.
- You can also try to sign in through Apple's website (account . apple . com OR icloud . com). You can do this on any other device, whether iPhone or even Android or a laptop. Try using an incognito or private tab, in fact.
After trying these steps, let me know if it works.
Once you learn how to shop directly from China, E.g Temù or shien your wardrobe changes completely. Call me cheap I don't care I ain't rich, I don't do fraud.😭
It's knowing what to search for.
Here's my style after making plenty of mistakes.
1. T-shirts:
Skip 100% polyester unless you're buying gym wear.
Instead, search:
• 100% Cotton
• Combed Cotton
• Heavyweight Cotton
• 240-300 GSM Cotton
• Premium Cotton
• Mercerized Cotton
The heavier the GSM, the thicker and more premium the shirt usually feels.
2. Jeans:
Denim Jeans
Temu is surprisingly good for denim if you know what to search.
Search:
• Denim Jeans
• Cotton Denim
• Raw Denim
• Selvedge Denim (if available)
• 98% Cotton + 2% Elastane
• 99% Cotton
Avoid jeans with high polyester content. The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel.
3. Body-hug clothing:
Search:
• Ribbed Knit
• Modal
• Viscose Blend
• Cotton-Spandex Blend
They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester.
4. Hoodies
Search:
• 400 GSM
• French Terry
• Cotton Fleece
• Heavyweight Hoodie
5. Chains
Search:
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Titanium Steel
• PVD Gold Plated
• Vacuum Plated
These are far more resistant to fading than ordinary fashion jewelry.
6. Earrings
Search:
• 925 Sterling Silver
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Hypoallergenic
• Moissanite (if you're buying stones)
7. Scarves
Search:
• Mulberry Silk
• Silk Blend
• Cashmere Blend
• Wool Blend
• Viscose
Avoid the shiny, thin polyester scarves if you're after a premium look.
8. Loafers
Search:
• Genuine Leather
• Cow Leather
• Full Grain Leather (rare but worth looking for)
• Rubber Outsole
9. Sneakers
Search:
• Rubber Outsole
• EVA Midsole
• Breathable Mesh
• Leather Upper
• Stitched Sole
Pictures lie a lot
The description usually tells the truth.
Here's how I shop:
1. Read the material composition before anything else.
2. Sort by Most Orders or Best Selling, not cheapest.
3. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth.
4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't.
5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos.
6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier.
7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches.
8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on.
Your best friend isn't the product picture.
It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos.
That's how you separate the gems from the junk.
I hope this help.
Things are to expensive for a country this poor.

After giving birth, a woman's internal wounds take six months to heal, 12 months for physical recovery, two years for hormonal balance, and up to five years to rediscover her identity. Relationships frequently fail during this time due to a lack of understanding. Be kind and patient with new mothers; they are facing more challenges than it appears.
Let me share a hack: If the locked phone is more than 3yrs old (from production date), you can easily unlock it without paying a kobo.
Go to the website of the carrier it’s locked on, look for “unlock device”, enter your IMEI, and wait for 72hours.
Your phone will be unlocked.
I saw this recently.
