That’s more per oz than a filet at a top steakhouse. Comical considering atlas deer in Maui are grossly overpopulated… priced like a rare delicacy.

Interesting paper looking at mesh v no mesh in umbilical hernias <1cm:

- short term more patients could feel mesh related symptoms
- long term less hernia recurrences with mesh (0.2% vs 1.7%)
- no other major differences

I’d still not use mesh:

It’s not worth risking mesh related issues (and it’s consequences) for a 1.5% absolute difference in hernia recurrence.
