This Sunday on Nollywood Film Club, we'll be discussing women led films from all through the ages. Try and think of something outside KOB please 😩😩 https://t.co/sY2QHLI7uJ
It would be so easy for Tarantino to just say that the whole 10-movie thing was silly and that he’ll just keep directing films. But he’s exactly the type of guy who’ll stick to this stupid rule while trying to find all sorts of ridiculous ways around it.

Introducing: Africa Streaming & Infrastructure Watch, First Edition
You know the story: the platforms that spent the better part of a decade building a foothold in African streaming at scale have, one by one, pulled back or disappeared entirely.
A question that's been most often raised by industry and consumers alike is some version of the same thing: what does the commissioning landscape across the continent look like now? Where are the next African originals coming from?
What we do know is that the landscape is thin, and it was never especially robust to begin with.
That gap is part of why we built this. To offer a guidepost. A big-picture view of where things stand that people can return to.
We're calling it "Africa Streaming & Infrastructure Watch," a live tracker, updated at least monthly, or as major developments occur continent-wide (whichever comes first), from African Film Press (AFP), built inside the infrastructure that supports our internal research platform.
The digital initiative captures activity across streaming platforms, telecoms, and major pay-TV industry developments, including launches, shutdowns, rebrandings, and changes in ownership, as well as pricing, deals, and acquisitions.
This first public edition covers January 2025 through the first quarter of 2026: https://t.co/9RQZXfTp6Q

By the time I get a job, I’d be too burnt out to even enjoy it.
I just need to earn at least, I can find enjoyment in other things, I think.
My goodness, Lol.
So I'll be a member of the Jury at this year's Visions Du Reel International Film Festival.
Launched in 1969, it's one of the world's major festivals dedicated to documentary films.
If you're in Nyon, Switzerland in late April, we could catch up for a beer, and then another.
After a conversation with Trino's MD, here's a bit more about how The Weekend landed HBO Max
And it reveals some more things about Nigerian film distribution right now.
The Weekend’s HBO Max deal started with conversations in 2025 and led to an 18-month licensing deal in Central & Eastern Europe, with rights retained by Trino Motion Pictures.
We spoke to Trino CEO about how the deal came together.
