This is total misinformation 🤦🏻

Let's get some facts straight:
🔸It was not *his* memecoin, somebody created it without his consent
🔸He burnt 90% of the supply that they sent to him without his consent. This normally pumps the remaining token value by a lot (less supply, same demand)
🔸 People reckted themselves, all trying to sell for easy profit and pushing the token price to zero (no reason to keep buying it)
🔸This is a memecoin, it has zero intrinsic value and it's worse than a random gamble because insiders can dump whenever they want. You automatically know it can happen if you buy shit coins

Grow up and take accountability, this is all what web3 is about: your choices determine your financial future.

The handover of Cardano to the community can be compared to the event when Satoshi left Bitcoin.

In Satoshi's last email to Gavin Andresen, he wished not to be talked about as a shadowy figure. Bitcoin was taken over by the Core team led by Gavin.

The emphasis should have been on the open-source nature of the project.

Satoshi left Bitcoin about a year and a half after its launch. Founding entities are leaving Cardano after about 9 years.

From a decentralization perspective, it doesn't matter when, but if the original team/leader/CEO/entity allows the handover of control to the community.

My friend and NMKR coworker Sandro wrote a paper for uni about Cardanos sustainability.

He did some on-chain analysis comparing the current Annual Yield (Staking Rewards) vs the staking rewards if we only had transaction fees.

Green Chart: Transaction fees annual yield
Red Chart: Current actual annual yield

At its highest point transaction fees were around 0.08% yield per year, while the current yield is around 2.5% or so.

So TLDR;

We need a lot more transactions to make Cardano sustainable.

If we take the highest transaction fee yield we ever had, we need to 62x that number of transactions consistently to get to 5% annual yield.
