Maybe a lifestyle upgrade at that level is early? Maybe spend less, save more & invest more (this is not a financial advice) but I know how hard it is to feel like you can finally afford some things & then you realize, no you can't or yes you can in the future.
As I am told by those up there; Top 10% is merely a status symbol. In reality, you can't attempt a lifestyle upgrade for your family in Vancouver or Toronto yet you're considered "Richest", which also means less GC financial support for your kids & your bills + taxes are there.
Put yourself in situations where you have too much at stake to waste time or resources—if you cannot afford to lose, you won’t. Place yourself on “death ground,” where your back is against the wall and you have to fight like hell to get out alive.
