A MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE
On 25th March 2026, I was deeply honoured to be nominated by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to contest in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA)@EA_Bunge by-election. I remain sincerely grateful to our great Party for the confidence it placed in me and for the opportunity to serve.
The campaign gave me the privilege of sharing my vision with the Electoral College and reaffirmed my belief in the @NRMOnline's enduring principles of patriotism, democracy, socio-economic transformation, and Pan-Africanism.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Hon. @AbertRwaka66349 and Hon. Kiryoowa Stella on their election. I wish them every success as they represent Uganda in the East African Legislative Assembly.
To the NRM leadership, Members of Parliament, my campaign team, friends, and everyone who supported my candidature, I thank you. Your encouragement made this journey worthwhile.
As a proud product of Universal Primary Education (UPE), my candidature reflected the opportunities that our Movement continues to create for ordinary Ugandans. Although this chapter has closed, my commitment to serving our Party and our country remains unwavering.
To my fellow contestants, I salute your courage and patriotism. By offering ourselves for leadership, we strengthened our democracy and reaffirmed our shared commitment to Uganda and the East African Community.
The struggle for a better Uganda continues, and so does my commitment to serve.
For God and My Country.

President @KagutaMuseveni: You see Dr Kizza Besigye creating scenes in the courts of law. It's like a theatre. I could even see my sister Dr Miria Matembe limping into court but forgot to limp when she was leaving court.
