Duncan Trussell blasts the government for saying they donโt know what the Drones in the sky are.
โI'm paying almost half of my income in fu**ing taxes, so you know what the car sized mystery things flying over the cities are and you don't know what that fu**ing is?
What am I paying you for? You're making a lot of money, man. You should know what the drones are.โ
Pickleball is such an interesting game.
Just now I played a match against some guys with a friend of mine. We lost 11-2.
Right after that, I played with some random guy and we pickled the same guys.
Now, you could say my original partner was the problem but I think itโs more than that.
Yes, the second guy was better for sure but because of that I was better.
It got me thinking.
Partners elevate one another. They make each other better. At least they should.
You need to feed off one anotherโs energy and be the best version of yourself because of your partner.
One unit.
Itโs really an interesting concept when you think about it.
Now I realize a lot of people just play with whoever but I think the central point remains the same.
You need to lift your partner up just like they should to you.
Making everyone around you better is a dangerous skill to have.
Work on that, and you become dominant.
โWe should have won that gameโ
How many times have you said that?
When you play against a team that is as good or maybe slightly worse than you, and loseโฆ
It stings.
That game is over so the only thing that matters now is how you respond.
Countless times I come off a game like that and blame everything under the sun except for myself.
Itโs my partnerโs fault. The wind was blowing. Itโs my paddle.
Every excuse in the book except for looking in the mirror.
The guy or girl staring back at you is always the problem.
You see, being honest with yourself about parts of your game that need to improve is really tough.
When you blame everything else but yourself, itโs impossible to get better.
Control the controllable.
