In the US unleaded petrol is 94p/litre. 11p of that is tax.

Here it’s upwards of £1.70 and 81.43p* of that is tax.

Without tax the US and UK price at the pump would be 83p/l and 89.5p/l

It’s not international prices forcing up our fuel to unaffordable levels.

It’s our government. 😡😡😡

(*UK pump price of 170.9p per litre, tax is 81.43p per litre, meaning 47.6% of what you pay goes directly to the government.

The UK government does nothing to ease the runaway price of fuel, claiming it all comes from the world oil price. So why is petrol £1.72 a litre here and 95 p a litre in the US? The UK government is taking too much in tax.

I have a 24 year old Land Rover Discovery… it runs perfectly. This study only measured MOT failures between 90,000 and 120,000 miles.

Oh and an MOT doesn’t test the EV battery, its remaining capacity or charging performance.

Come back to me when today’s EVs are still running in 2050. Idiots 🤡
