Bi and Trans inclusion in the LGBT community (they’re both at the end for a reason) came together, not separately. Both bisexuals and transsexuals were a threat to the LG/GL community because they were “too queer” and threatened their assimilationist efforts.
everyday on here ppl try to paint bisexuality as the most transphobic sexuality… but let’s pull up the records bc the queer community has a history of trans exclusive spaces, & let me tell you it wasn’t the bisexuals.
@NewlyDev@BlS3XUALlSM It's always lesbians can have previously identified as bi, but eveyone ignores bi ppl that previously identified as lesbian exist too. ppl would definitely call that portrayal erasure but the other way around is fine even when there isn't a full "coming out again" storyline
@NewlyDev@BlS3XUALlSM This actually pisses me off so much because that would still be erasure. Replacing one kind of queerness that has been established before with another will always be erasure and I know these ppl would recognize it as such if we swapped the sexualities in this scenario...
Hating lesbians is when bisexuals say “hey it’s a les4bi couple can we be visible too instead of getting erased”
A company fumbled their marketing. That’s it.
@beebetbetty@BlS3XUALlSM This is how you know bisexuality is seen as the lesser kind of queer. Our erasure isn't seen as a loss for the community, just like our representation isn't seen as a win unless it's through same gender relationships where characters can be counted as functionally monosexual
@BlS3XUALlSM We shouldn't even have to fight for this. It's actually diabolical to have to ask for our representation to not be erased like this and ignored casually !!!??
@BlS3XUALlSM Like no this is not okay, they could have just split the flags and made a heart out of both of them, they even used the colors for their names too... The reactions to this will be easure full stop and we'll be told again "but bi ppl have so much rep" when that's not even true
genuinely crazy how much we’ve been made into the villains in the dynamics that harm us: unicorn hunting, our abuse & ipv, lesbian separatism, apparently being wary of performative cishet men too now
people on twt need to stop taking everything in bad faith
★ this tweet was made in response to a comment on a real person’s wedding
★ the love is love line was included because the bride was queer
