@CrazedCyan A subtle groan escaped his lips as he slowly rubbed the sides of his sides of his forehead with his thumb and middle finger.
“I was away for too long. . . That’s what I deserve for believing things that had gone static would continue to stay static.”
@CrazedCyan It was something that he admittedly deserved for leaving his car out unattended for as long as he did on a neighborhood Zaun street.
Jayce would eventually have a tow truck pick the car up and deliver it to a body shop to have the damages repaired.
Point for Jinx.
@HymnOfTheGales - up your food or are you a big enough girl to handle eating on your own?” Jayce asked, the question probably coming across as condescending but a legitimately sincere one as he just wanted to help if he was supposed to.
“Coffee, please. Thank you again.”
@HymnOfTheGales Jayce was already picking Kalani up from off his back over his head and placing her down onto the stool as he would eventually sit down next to her while surveying the food landscape.
“Uhhhh... wow. I forgot how good food could look and smell... Am I supposed to be cutting -
@HymnOfTheGales - “It must be time to eat for both of us.” he quipped as his stomach too began to grumble while carrying the young girl out of the bedroom as he followed Janna down the hallway.
@HymnOfTheGales “She slept like pancakes, huh?” Jayce looked at Janna with a quick shrug.
With how tightly she was holding onto him, it seemed as though she could be easily carried so with a little time, Jayce would slowly raise to a standing position with Kalani on his back. -
@HymnOfTheGales - It was going to be painfully apparent he hadn’t the dizziest daydream how to properly parent. He’d more than likely lean on Janna more often than not.
“Good morning, Kalani. How did you sleep?”
@HymnOfTheGales “Is she always this adorable or does it get better or worse over the course of the day?” Jayce asked, a teasing joke in one manner, a legitimate question on another.
His hands met hers after she wrapped her arms around his chest, the soft patting of his hands against hers. -
@HymnOfTheGales - To see her mother standing in the door frame. To look out the window at the landscape that surrounded the house they resided in.
To just be understanding of the people and the situation and more than anything, the moment most of all.
@HymnOfTheGales - Before reaching Kalani, Jayce would stop and sit down on the floor with his back resting against the side of the bed.
Perhaps the movement would wake Kalani, perhaps not.
The reason for his action was merely to see what the child saw when she woke in the morning every day. -
